Simultaneous Optimization of Virtual Synchronous Generators (VSG) Parameters in Islanded Microgrids Supplying Induction Motors

The growing importance of Microgrid in future power systems highlights critical challenges like microgrid control and stability. An islanded including distributed generations (DG), energy storage (ESS), different types loads (static or dynamic) is prone to instability. whole system must be analyzed designed operate within stable regions. This study models an inverter-interfaced which supplies such as static symmetrical induction machines (SIM) by virtual synchronous generators (VSG). Afterwards, a generalized small-signal stability analysis framework proposed for microgrid. model applied arbitrary several VSGs, lines, loads, SIM loads. Subsequently, permissible intervals VSG parameters are drawn according the analysis. These compared load. Finally, novel optimization platform introduced utilizes particle swarm (PSO) algorithm draw optimal values impedances (VI), inertia (Jv), damping (D), current state-feedback factor (F). enhances stability, minimizes voltage drops on buses, reactive mismatches, frequency Nadir, simultaneously.
